How To Transfer BNB From Metamask To Binance (Step By Step Guide)

There are many reasons why you might want to transfer BNB from your Metamask wallet to Binance – cashing out your profits to fiat, swapping to other cryptocurrencies, gas fees, and even storing.

Regardless of the reason why you’re transferring BNB to Binance from your Metamask wallet, the process is a fairly easy one.

To transfer BNB from your Metamask wallet to Binance, you first need to get your BEP20 BNB wallet address from Binance.

Once you get the wallet address from Binance, open Metamask and select your BNB balance (on the Binance Smart Chain). Click on Send and paste your Binance BNB wallet address then transfer the correct amount of BNB to your Binance account using the address.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to send BNB from your Metamask wallet to Binance.

Step 1: Open Binance and navigate to your Fiat and Spot wallet.

Open the Binance website on your browser and log into your account using your email/phone number or password.

On the Binance dashboard, click on [Wallet] > [Fiat and Spot] to navigate to your Binance Fiat and Spot wallet.

Step 2: Click on [Deposit].

On the Binance Fiat and Spot Wallet page, click on [Deposit].

Step 3: Select BNB as the coin to be deposited.

In the “Select coin” section, click on the selector and search for BNB then select the correct option as illustrated in the screenshot below.

Step 4: Select “BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)” from the list of networks.

Binance provides different BNB wallet addresses depending on the network you intend to use when depositing BNB on your account.

Since Metamask only supports BNB on the Binance Smart Chain (or BNB Smart Chain), select “BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)” from the list of networks to get your Binance BEP20 BNB wallet address.

Step 5: Click on the Copy icon to copy your Binance BEP20 BNB address.

Now, click on the Copy icon next to the wallet address to copy your Binance BEP20 BNB wallet address to your device clipboard as it will be needed later.

Step 6: Launch Metamask and switch to the Binance Smart Chain.

Next, launch the Metamask extension by clicking on the Metamask icon in the extensions area of your web browser then enter your account password to unlock your wallet.

Since we will be transferring BNB from Metamask to Binance using the Binance Smart Chain, you will want to ensure that the “Binance Smart Chain” is the selected network on your wallet.

If you don’t have the Binance Smart Chain selected as the default network on your wallet, simply click on the network selection box and select [Binance Smart Chain] from the list of available networks.

How To Transfer BNB From Metamask To Binance On Mobile

If you use Binance and Metamask exclusively on your mobile device (Android or iPhone), the process of transferring BNB from the Metamask app to Binance on mobile is quite similar to the web version discussed earlier but not entirely the same.

Below is how you can transfer BNB from the Metamask mobile app to your Binance account on mobile.

Step 1: Launch the Binance app and tap [Wallets] > [Deposit].

Launch the Binance app on your mobile device and log into your account using your email address/phone number and password (if you’re not logged in already).

On the Binance app homepage, tap on [Wallets] on the bottom navigation bar to navigate to the Wallets page on Binance.

Now, tap on [Deposit].

Step 2: Search for “BNB” and select the correct option.

On the next page, type “BNB” in the search bar and select the correct BNB token from the search results. The correct one is usually the first result.

Step 3: Select “BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)” as the network to be used for the deposit.

Now since we will be transferring BNB from the Metamask mobile app to Binance via the BSC network, we will be selecting “BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)” from the list of networks.

Step 4: Tap on the Copy icon to copy your BEP20 BNB deposit address.

Now, tap on the Copy icon next to the address to copy your BNB deposit address to your device clipboard from the Binance mobile app.

Step 5: Launch the Metamask mobile app and select your BNB balance.

Now, launch the Metamask mobile app on your device and select your BNB balance on the Metamask home screen.

If you can’t find your BNB balance on the Metamask home screen, you will need to switch to the Binance Smart Chain on your wallet

To switch to the Binance Smart Chain on the Metamask app, simply tap on the top of the Metamask home screen and select [Binance Smart Chain] from the list of networks available on the dialog.

Step 6: Hit [Send] on the BNB details page.

On the BNB token page on the Metamask app, tap on the [Send] button.

Step 7: Paste your Binance BNB deposit address and tap [Next].

Paste your Binance BNB deposit address which you copied earlier in the “To” section then tap [Next].

Step 8: Enter the amount of BNB to be transferred and tap [Next].

Now enter the amount of BNB you intend to transfer to Binance from your wallet on the Metamask app, then tap [Next].

If you intend to transfer all the BNB available on your Metamask wallet, simply tap on [USE MAX] to set the amount to be transferred to the maximum possible amount.

Step 9: Review the transaction details and tap [Confirm].

Finally, review the transaction details including the recipient address, associated network fees (in BNB), and amount then tap [Confirm] to proceed with the transaction.

With this, you have successfully transferred BNB from Metamask to your Binance account.

Transferring BNB and most cryptocurrencies from Metamask to Binance typically takes anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes to complete depending on the current network conditions of the blockchain used.

To check the status of your BNB transaction, simply go to the BNB coin details page on your Metamask wallet and you should find it in the “Transactions” section.

You will also get a notification from the Binance app when the BNB transfer to your account is complete.

Does MetaMask Have Withdrawal Fees?

No, Metamask does not charge any withdrawal fees for transferring crypto from your Metmaask wallet to an external wallet or crypto exchange.

That said, you will need to pay some gas fees for any transaction made on your wallet. Gas fees generally depend on the blockchain used for the transaction – some blockchains are associated with higher fees (eg Ethereum), while other blockchains are the opposite (ie lower gas fees).

Can You Withdraw From Metamask To Your Bank Account?

No, you cannot withdraw crypto directly from Metamask to your bank account.

To cash out the crypto from your Metamask wallet, you first need to send the funds to your account on a centralized crypto exchange like Binance, Coinabase, Crypto.com, etc.

Once the transfer is complete, you can then convert the tokens you transferred to fiat and finally cash out to your bank account using supported banks.

In countries where direct bank withdrawals are not supported by crypto exchanges, you can cash out to your bank account using P2P trading on supported exchanges like Binance or other platforms like Paxful and LocalCoinSwap.

Wrapping Up

Transferring BNB from Metamask to Binance can be quite a confusing process, especially for new Metamask users. For others who have experience with transacting and trading on the Metamask platform, it can be a little bit easier.

To transfer BNB from your Metamask wallet to Binance, you first need to get your BEP20 BNB deposit address (or wallet address) from Binance.

Once you have the address, head over to your wallet on the Metamask extension or mobile app, select your BNB balance, and then transfer the correct amount of BNB to the deposit address.

Binance will notify you via email and notification (if on mobile) when the funds finally arrive in your account and you can either convert BNB to fiat and withdraw to your bank account, swap for other cryptocurrencies using any of the available trading pairs, or simply hodl the funds on your Binance account.
