Trust Wallet is one of the most popular crypto wallets on mobile with over 10M downloads on the Android platform alone according to the Google Playstore.
Even if the platform might seem easy to use for crypto veterans, it is not always that simple to access for new users especially when it comes to funding the wallet initially.
If you don’t know how to go about funding your crypto wallet on Trust Wallet, then this guide is all you need to do.
In this article, you will learn how to fund Trust Wallet directly from your bank account or with a credit/debit card.
There are 2 major ways to deposit money to Trust Wallet and those are buying crypto from your bank account on centralized exchanges like Binance and transferring to Trust Wallet or purchasing crypto with your credit/debit card via payment processors like MoonPay and Simplex directly on the Trust Wallet app.
We prefer (and recommend) purchasing crypto on Binance and sending the tokens to Trust Wallet from Binance. This will work with other centralized exchanges like Coinbase, Kucoin, Gemini, and the likes. Still, if you don’t want to go through the hassle of moving tokens around from one wallet to another, you can purchase coins directly on the Trust Wallet but bear in mind that comes with 5% fee (or more in some cases when blockchain fees are considered).
Whether you prefer to purchase crypto on centralized exchanges and transfer to Trust Wallet or purchase directly on Trust Wallet with a credit/debit card, we will be showing you how to do both in this article so you can choose the method you prefer.
How To Fund Trust Wallet From Bank Account via Exchanges
To fund Trust Wallet from your bank account, you need to purchase crypto from your bank account on crypto exchanges and then send the tokens to Trust Wallet.
For this guide, we will be using Binance because it is the most popular centralized crypto exchange at the moment and it offers the lowest trading/withdrawal fees on the market.
If you haven’t registered on Binance, you can click here to create your account or use “W70PMCZD” as the referral code if you prefer to sign up using the Binance mobile app.
Note: Depending on your location and the amount of crypto you want to purchase, you might need to verify your account after registration. Also, if trading cryptocurrencies is illegal or restricted in your country, you cannot send money directly from your bank account to Binance instead you will have to use the Binance P2P platform.
Here is how to purchase crypto on Binance from your bank account.
Step 1: Log into your Binance account and click on [Fiat and Spot] under [Wallets]
For this guide, we will be using the Binance desktop website. You can also use the Binance mobile app, which is quite similar.
Step 2: Click on [Deposit]
Step 3: Select the currency to deposit and your preferred payment method then click [Continue]
In this step, you will need to choose the currency to be deposited e.g. “GBP” if you live in the UK, “USD” if you’re in the United States (or supported countries), and “EUR” if you live in Europe.
After that, you will need to choose your preferred payment method.
Binance provides a couple of payment channels you can use to deposit money into your Binance account including direct bank transfer (SWIFT, SEPA, etc), card payments, and payment platforms like Payeer, Advcash, and more depending on your location.
Note: If you don’t see your currency listed, then Binance does not support the currency and you will have to purchase crypto on the Binance P2P marketplace using your preferred method of payments (bank transfer seems to be the most popular payment channel).
Step 4: Enter the amount to deposit and click [Confirm]
Step 5: Enter information on the bank account to be used for the transaction
Step 6: Transfer funds using the bank account information provided by Binance.
Copy the bank account details provided and transfer the amount you inputted earlier on your banking platform.
Once you send the funds to account details provided by Binance, wait for the transaction to reflect on Binance – this might take anywhere from 5 mins – 20 mins, in some cases the transaction may take at least one working day to reflect on Binance.
Step 7: Convert BUSD (for USD deposits) or fiat to BNB
If you deposited USD, your account should be credited with the amount in BUSD and for other fiat currencies like GBP, EUR, AUD, and the likes, they will also be available in your Binance account.
For this step, you will need to convert BUSD, AUD, GBP, EUR, etc (depending on the currency deposited) to BNB. To do that, go back to Binance and click on [Markets].
Select the currency to be converted (BUSD in this case since USD was deposited) in the [From] section and BNB in the [To] section.
Click on [Preview Conversion], then click on [Convert] to submit the transaction.
The correct amount in BNB should be deposited on your spot wallet after the transaction must have been completed.
Step 8: Send BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet
The next step in funding Trust Wallet from your bank account is sending BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet. BNB can then be swapped to any token or coin of your choice directly on the Trust Wallet app itself.
To send BNB to Trust Wallet from Binance, you will need to launch the Trust Wallet app and copy your BNB address.
On Binance, click on [Wallet] then [Fiat and Spot]
Click on the [Withdraw] button
Select BNB, paste the BNB address that was copied earlier from Trust Wallet and input the amount of BNB to be transferred then click [Withdraw].
Note: MEMO should be left empty as Trust Wallet does not require a MEMO to receive BNB.
Complete the 2-step verification and refresh Trust Wallet to view your BNB balance. With this, you have successfully deposited cash into Trust Wallet from your Bank account.
Note that you can also repeat this same step for purchasing any other cryptocurrency (including BTC, ETH) and transferring from Binance to Trust Wallet.
How To Fund TrustWallet From Credit/Debit Card
If you don’t want to go through the hassle of purchasing Crypto from centralized exchanges and transferring them to Trust Wallet, then you can opt to buy cryptos directly on the Trust Wallet app with your credit/debit card.
Trust Wallet works with two partner payment platforms to provide this service – Simplex and MoonPay. Both platforms allow you to buy most of the popular cryptocurrencies directly from your card easily.
For this guide on how to fund Trust Wallet with a bank card, we will be purchasing BNB with MoonPay. MoonPay offers the best rates out of the two payment platforms supported by Trust Wallet.

Step 5: Sign in to the payment platform and complete payment on your browser

MoonPay and Simplex both require users to verify their identity and source(s) of funds to prevent money laundering, financing terrorism, and illegal activities on their platforms due to government regulations.
Complete the verification process and input your credit/debit card details to authorize the transaction. After the transaction is completed, the cryptocurrency you purchased would be available to use on the Trust Wallet app.
Does Trust Wallet have a credit card fee?
Trust Wallet does not charge you for using your bank card to purchase crypto but Trust Wallet’s partner payment platforms do charge fees for card transactions and blockchain fees to transfer crypto to your wallet on Trust Wallet.
You can find the Simplex transaction fee structure here and the fees charged by MoonPay per transaction here.
Can I buy BNB with my bank card on Trust Wallet?
Yes, you can buy BNB and many more cryptocurrencies with your credit/debit card on Trust Wallet.
